Natural Yeast Bread Class (Level 1)



The easiest way to make natural yeast bread is by using a quality starter to begin with. Two Mamas have  developed an excellent natural yeast which you can acquire by joining one of our natural bread making courses. Each course will have a maximum of 8 participants and every student will be making our recipes while we teach them.



Natural Yeast Bread (LEVEL 1) £50 pp

Natural Yeast is the name for bread raised only with wild yeasts, the process is one of a long fermentation which helps the bread to have a lovely depth of flavour and it also makes for a more digestible bread.
Our class would last 2 hours and will comprise:
- basic notions of what Natural Yeast sourdough is, how to make it, maintain it and store it
- teaching of how to make Natural Yeast bread with hand kneading technique - every student will then be able to practice and take home with them the dough that they have made, proof it overnight and bake it in their oven at home in the morning
During the course we will teach hand kneading and planetary mixers techniques.
- an instruction booklet collating all the information explained during the class and the bread recipe
- the students will be given a glass jar  with 100 g of Natural Yeast to take home and start their own baking.
